Belly Exposed

picture with tummy exposed

It’s nap time here today. Well, it’s always nap time. Mama says I’m a “people” dog because I sleep like a person on my back. What better way to get belly scratches than always having your belly exposed??

At nine years old even a 30 minute walk tires me out so I really don’t feel guilty napping for several hours.

Don’t hate.

It’s what I do best. That is how life goes when you are adorable and lovable and spoiled!

Mama always says that a tired dog is a good dog. When people complain that they can’t control their own furbabies she always asks about exercise and if they are getting enough walks. After all, when I’m tired and napping I’m not getting into trouble, right??

Enough for today. It’s nap time 🙂

Another Weekend Gone

Yet another weekend has come and gone … Not that it matters to me because I’m just a Puggle and my life consists of naps, snacks and belly rubs. Luckily my mama works from home so those things come more often than not since I don’t have to wait for her return. I am one lucky (and spoiled) furbaby!

In fact, today we (my sissy Brita and I) got a walk bright and early and then napped the better part of the rest of the day. I can’t say my weekend sucked!

How about you? What do you like to do on weekends?

My Given Name

Bella snoozing again

I’m quite a lounger as you can see. Don’t get me wrong, I love to play as much as any pup but I often prefer to lounge, especially on icky or cold days. In fact, my full given name is Prima Bella (it’s almost as if the rescue who named me knew I’d grow up to be quite a Prima!) so it’s no surprise that you might find me lounging on not just one, but two or pillows and a soft, cozy blanket.

Do a little surfing on my site here and you’ll see exactly what I mean.

Too Hot for a Puggle

Bella in her cooling bandana

We went to the local farmer’s market today and although it was nice to get out it was hot. As in burn my little tooties and make my tongue hang out hot! Needless to say, mama carried me like good mamas do. Then we stumbled upon these nifty cooling bandanas that you soak in cold water and wrap around your neck to keep you cool. Of course mama got me one and I ended up wearing it the rest of the day.

Before your own people take you out for a walk, I have a few suggestions that would make it much more pleasant if it’s a really hot day:

  1. Make sure you have plenty of water.
  2. Know where shade is available so you can take a cool down break.
  3. You can always invest in an awesome doggie cooling jacket like this one that I have.
  4. Realize that a dog’s paws are bare and that hot asphalt can burn those precious little tootsies.
