My Soul Puppy

I’m Bella – I’m the baby of the group. Mama says I have the sweetest face she’s ever seen. Mama saw me on Petfinder.com, a website of many precious animals that need to be adopted. She fell in love with me immediately (it was this crazy cute face that did it) and got to work to bring me home.

I’m one lucky girl as my daddy flew all the way from Colorado to a puppy shelter in Pennsylvania to pick me up.

I know they must love me to have gone to that much trouble!

I was adopted from Pet Adoption League, Yukon, PA. I was told that some mean and greedy Amish people were going to drown me because they could not sell me to a pet store. I had a hernia of all things … so easy to fix!

Thankfully, some wonderful woman with a huge heart from the shelter came to the puppy mill and picked me and another doggie up. She took us to live with my foster mom, Barb, and the rest of my foster family until I was adopted and moved to Colorado.

I’m so happy for Petfinder and for my mama and daddy coming to get me. Now I get to go on long walks, play with my sissies and cuddle by the fire all the time.

It really IS a dogs life!

Mama calls me her soul puppy because we have such a connection. I know when she’s sad so I’m there to cuddle her and make her feel better. I know when she’s happy so I cuddle her to show her I’m happy right along with her. I know when she’s stressed so of course I cuddle her then too because we all know dogs are relaxing (we do make good therapy pets after all).

Basically, I just cuddle all the time because I’m just lovable like that and that’s what I do best.

I sure miss my foster family and I give thanks to them everyday for the kind work they do but I’m happy I’m one of the lucky ones that got adopted.
